Why have a website?
A website is your 24 hour marketing tool. It allows you to sell, inform and educate anyone at anytime. It is a company sales brochure that can be quickly updated as your company grows. Today, more and more people use the web daily to check for information, shop for products, and find out how to contact people. The real question you should be asking is, why wouldn't you have a website!?
Why should I hire a web site designer?
To save time. Hiring a web site designer will help you save time so that you can concentrate on your business, your vocation, or your organization. Web design is more than just putting a website on the Internet. Effective web site design uses color, fonts, images and layout to capture an emotion and tempt your customers to buy. It is knowing when to add more and when to keep things simple.
What is the difference between web design and web maintenance?
Web design is the actual creation of the initial web site. Web maintenance is the updating and changing of content on that site.
What do you mean by 'design'? Will you create the whole site, or do I need to have someone else create the graphics, etc.?
Bumblebee Concepts can create all of the site content for you, including all graphics, multimedia, and text-based content. Then, we take that content and assemble it into a form which is Web-friendly using HTML and various scripting languages to achieve the functionality you are looking for.
Will my site be unique & customized?
Your site will be uniquely designed with your logo, images, colors, style and content. Designs will be clean, attractive, uncluttered and easy to navigate.
You will be provided with several designs created based on your input. You may select, ask for changes, and review refinements until you have approved the design.
How much input do I have?
We welcome your input! We want to satisfy your website needs by producing a site that will have the look and the impact that you need. The more input we receive from you the better!.
If I already have a site can you help me improve it?
Yes. We can redesign, freshen up, or update an existing site. Contact us with an idea of what you'd like to do, and we'll be glad to give you a quote. Whether your company's website "doesn't look professional", takes too long to load or the navigation is confusing to visitors, we can help.
Will you host my website?
No. We leave the hosting to others. However, we'll be happy to recommend a hosting company.
How do I get started?
Download and print our FREE Web Site Planning Worksheet. This worksheet will ask key questions and provide some structure to your planning process. If you have decided you want a web site or have any questions, simply fill out our web design request form to start the process.
What do you need from me?
Please send us brochures, logos, photographs, business cards, the history of your company or any other materials that you currently use when marketing your company. Do you have a web site you admire? Please send the URL address.
For new businesses we will help you get started from scratch. Need a logo? Bumblebee Concepts can create a logo for your company.
Will I get to see what my Website looks like before it's finished?
Of course! Once we've created a basic design for your site, we'll post it to a private Web page accessible only by you. You'll be able to see what the design looks like, and make any comments and suggestions to get it looking exactly the way you want before it’s launched to the general public.
How do I pay you for the work you do for me?
You pay us — either by credit card, cash or check. We require half payment in advance and the remaining balance before your website goes "live" online at your hosting company or at the time we deliver your logo.
How will I be billed?
We send out all invoices by email only. The invoice will be a PDF Adobe Acrobat file. From there you can print the invoice and mail it to us with a check or pay online by credit card, ProPay or PayPal.
